At EHS Techniques we accompany organizations that want to stay ahead of growing regulatory challenges, ensuring that their operations comply with environmental regulations. Our multidisciplinary team helps to identify legal obligations, manage permits and authorizations of complex administrative procedures, so that your company can operate with legal, technical and environmental security.
What does our Legal Compliance and Permitting service include?
- Customized legal compliance assessment
We conduct legal audits adapted to the type of activity, location, industrial or service sector. We identify the applicable legal requirements: environmental legislation, waste regulations, atmospheric emissions, water, soil, noise, activity authorizations, etc. - Permits, authorizations and negotiations with the administration
We assist you in the processing of environmental permits (environmental impact studies, integrated environmental authorizations), discharge authorizations, emission permits, environmental licenses, local permits, waste minimization and management plans. We also prepare technical justifications such as the application of Best Available Techniques (BAT), compliance with emission limit values, risk management, and reports required by applicable regulations. - Regulatory interpretation and regulatory updates
Laws change, both at national and European level; new directives, regulations, emission standards, waste criteria are frequently emerging. At EHS Techniques we monitor these changes to ensure that your company is always up to date and prepared, adapting internal procedures, permits, and even anticipating the need for new authorizations. - Continuous technical processing and administrative support
Not only do we draft permit applications, but we also accompany you in every phase: from document preparation, contact with authorities, technical defense of the reports, to the final obtaining of the permit. Our experience guarantees that the procedures are as agile as possible, avoiding delays, penalties or unnecessary paperwork. - Strategic advice on complex permits
In projects involving activities with high environmental risk or with potential impact on the environment (heavy industry, spills, atmospheric emissions, hazardous waste management, protected areas, water, etc.), we offer strategic solutions to ensure that the permits granted take into account legal requirements as well as sustainability, institutional reputation and social acceptance.

Legal Compliance and Permits – Frequently Asked Questions
The permits required will depend very much on the type of activity, its associated impact and its location in Spanish territory.
In general, they are included in the Integrated Environmental Authorization (AAI) for high impact industries, Environmental License for activities with moderate impact or and Responsible Environmental Declaration with low impact. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) must also be submitted for high and medium impact, and specific sectoral permits may also be required.
When you hire us, our technicians will identify the legal requirements that apply to your activity, even anticipating the need for potential future requirements due to changes in legislation and, through an audit, will evaluate the degree of legal compliance of a company, proposing solutions for a correct adaptation to it.
Failure to comply with environmental permits and regulations is considered an environmental crime and, in many cases, leads to damage to the company’s reputation.
The associated legal consequences can range from financial fines, temporary suspension or revocation of permits, to prison sentences, permanent closure of facilities or the obligation to repair the environmental damage. Other important consequences can be the loss of access to public subsidies or aid, damage to reputation or professional disqualification, among others.
EHS offers technical and administrative support in the permitting process, from the preparation of documents to the defense of reports before the authorities.
Once the application permits and licenses are known, our technicians will detect the necessary requirements and identify and prepare the associated documentation. Once the information is complete, the application will be submitted, responding to additional requirements and requests.
EHS carries out all types of environmental documents, reports and studies, from environmental impact studies, integrated environmental authorizations, to modeling studies, audits, sustainability reports, etc.
